Who We Are & What We Stand For
The Executive and Professional Association of Houston (EPAH) is Houston’s premier
LGBTQIA+ professional organization. EPAH was formed in April of 1978 in Houston, Texas. EPAH was established to achieve three aims. These aims include, 1) provide a non-political forum for discussion of business and community affairs, 2) encourage and foster social and business relationships among the membership, and 3) support such educational and/or charitable causes as may be approved by the membership.
EPAH has flourished and has almost 200 members representing all aspects of diversity and professions. EPAH is led by four elected officers and eight elected Trustees who continue to guide the organization in actively achieving its aims. A vibrant structure of committees organizes a wide variety of events and opportunities to interact with other members. Monthly dinner meetings at Houston area restaurants provide an opportunity to socialize and professionally network. Social
events ranging from attending the theater, group bike ride, happy hours, and pool parties are sponsored frequently throughout the year.
Each year a community fundraising event is held to contribute to a Houston area organization serving Houston’s LGBTQIA+ community. Annual contributions have been as much as $67,000. If you are looking for opportunities for networking, socialization and giving back to the community, EPAH may be the perfect organization for you!
